Our Story

In 2016, we started off as a rolling blog, inviting people to share their stories with body image and mental health in any medium of expression that resonated with them.

We have been committed to conversation from the very start.

As our organization continues to grow, we continue to come back to the basic question of: what are our stories and how do we tell them? We develop our programs, resources, and workshops with the goal of giving voice to the stories of our community members, celebrating diversity in what, as well as how people give voice to their experiences.

Our words are our worlds, and how we craft the stories of our lives meaningfully impacts the ways we perceive ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we navigate our surroundings. In a world where we are constantly bombarded with loud, overwhelming messages about how we “should” be, we often forget our natural ability to story, and to re-story.

Perhaps you have become tired of social media messaging telling you that your body is flawed and imperfect. Perhaps you are curious to explore new ways of relating to your body and to yourself. Perhaps you are wondering whether anyone else is grappling with the things that you are going through.

You are not alone, and we invite you to join our bold, brave, and burgeoning community. We invite you to place the pen back in your palms, to be the author of your own narrative, and to restore your ability to re-story.

~ Our stories are still unfolding, one voice at a time ~

How do you tell your story?
